With plenty of shopping centers and grocery stores nearby, rest assured that you can find any of the supplies you will need to enjoy your stay. To explore the local area and learn about its history, be sure to visit the Wright Brothers Memorial, Jockey’s Ridge State Park, and Nags Head Woods. For a quick bite, stop by Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint or Thai Room. If you are craving seafood but not sure what to order, Captain George’s Seafood Buffett lets you sample a little bit of everything! Awful Arthur’s Oyster Bar is a wonderful place for steamed shellfish dishes and Jolly Roger offers delicious food along with late-night drinks and entertainment. If you enjoy fishing, try casting your line out on the historic Avalon Pier. Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head is another excellent fishing spot that is just 1,000 feet out into the ocean and is part of the NC Aquarium network.
