Accounting Intern

Travel Advantage Network is looking for an Accounting Intern to support the Accounting Department initiative of providing seamless service. Applicant must be knowledgeable of a variety of basic Accounting functions. The Accounting Intern must be extremely conscientious; an effective communicator; and be comfortable working independently, but also have the ability to work in a team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reconcile Bank Accounts
  • Record general ledger entries
  • Cash receipts recording
  • Coding of Accounts Payable invoices
  • Prepare invoices (both external and inter-company)
  • Process owner statements
  • Financial report analysis
  • Administrative functions
  • Special projects as needed

Minimal Requirements

2nd - 3rd year Finance or Accounting Major
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, along with a working knowledge of all other Microsoft Suite programs
Ability to manage and organize, multiple tasks and prioritize work
Excellent communication skills to interface with company employees, vendors, and customers

ASPPM Human Resources Summer Intern

Job Description

The ASPPM Human Resources Intern provides quality Human Resources compliance and administrative assistance to the ASPPM team and clients. The Intern will perform job functions in staffing, training, compliance, and business to ensure that best practices are used to support the employees and business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Staffing
    • Learn the ADP HRIS system including how to set HR benefits, timecards, payroll, scheduling, reporting, recruiting, and new hires, to support HR functions
    • Process new hires in HRIS
  • Partner with General Managers to ensure receipt and accuracy of new hire paperwork
  • Utilize E-Verify to process all I-9s, following compliance guidelines
  • Set-up background screening
  • Partner with Vendors to confirm outsourced employees’ status
    • Support the HR Manager, HR Recruiter, and HR Coordinator in developing and executing recruiting strategies Assist in writing and developing EEOC/ADA approved job descriptions
  • Training
    • Attend interdepartmental meetings and learn how each department helps to drive the business
    • Create training binders for offsite locations to ensure consistency.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure all employee files and data are organized and up to date to maintain compliance
  • Business
    • Support the onsite ASPPM Senior Quality Assurance Coordinator with daily tasks
    • Input, schedule, and organize work orders in E-Maintenance
    • Ensure all E-Maintenance orders are correct and complete
    • Enter inspection reports into billing and communicates all billing reports, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to the accounting department
    • Create billing for all external clients and customers
    • Communicate XP’s and maintenance issues
    • Track credit card reports
    • Process all supply and tool orders for the company
    • Plan for next year’s ASPPM Summit
    • Perform additional tasks as needed

Minimal Job Requirements

  • Major in Business or Human Resources, are preferable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Able to work 30-40 hours per week
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Able to learn new computer programs quickly.
  • Able to perform tasks such as standing, walking, sitting for periods, and talking, and carrying files and documents with reasonable accommodations

Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern will support department with all marketing functions for the TAN family of brands - contributing to all aspects of the marketing department, including but not limited to: program management, external communications, internal communications, project management, public relations, and special events planning.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages pictures and information of resorts and units on website to ensure accuracy and quality

Travel Advantage Network is looking for an Information Technology Intern to assist in providing excellent internal customer service. Applicant must be knowledgeable of computer systems, with a basic ability to interpret, analyze, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. The IT Intern must be extremely conscientious; an effective communicator; and be comfortable working independently, but also have the ability to work in a team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides support to staff for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Seven, MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint using advanced knowledge.
  • Troubleshoot problems that arise involving LAN/WAN networking, and basic understanding of WEB technologies and components.
  • Use remote access to change a software function.
  • Assist with phone networks to maintain the system, including but not limited to:
    • Troubleshooting
    • Setup for new employees
    • Check settings
  • Use Line of Business Application to set up, delete, and assign roles to users
  • Ensure hard drives, software, and programs are working properly
  • Maintain the chain server to ensure it properly works.
