General Property Info

Q.  What amenities come standard in my condo?
A.  While condo amenities may vary, most include standard kitchen housewares, such as a coffeemaker, and all items necessary for basic meal preparation. Most units will also include a TV and VCR or DVD player. Hairdryers are not a standard amenity. Your Vacation Coordinator/Reservationist will describe the specific amenities available in TAN’s units during the booking process.

Q.  Why are some featured properties unavailable?
A.  The properties featured on the resort pages of our Web site are updated periodically to display as much of TAN’s inventory as possible. Some resort areas are offered during high demand times only. Properties in these areas are indicated as "seasonal" on our Resort Listing page and will not be available throughout the year.

Q.  Am I guaranteed to receive the condo size (number of bedrooms) requested?
A.  Although TAN makes every effort to secure the requested unit size, we cannot guarantee availability. If the available dates and area match your request, but the size does not match, TAN will offer you the size unit available. You are not obligated to accept the offer. If you do not accept the offer, we will continue to search for a match of unit size, as well as the dates and areas you have requested. If you do accept an offer for a unit that is larger than one-bedroom, a nominal upgrade fee will apply.

Q.  Why aren't international properties part of the TAN inventory?
A.  TAN makes as many popular desTANations available as possible to meet the needs of our clients. However, inventory is subject to change within TAN, due to the supply and demand nature of our program. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to offer any European or non-home property exotic locations for a number of reasons: We don’t have the ability to purchase our own inventory or establish wholesale relationships with international vendors, due to our steady decline of Traveler requests for these vacation areas. The properties that have been made available to us in these locations have not met the high expectations our clients have of TAN units. We certainly do not want to send Travelers overseas knowing there is a good chance they will not be satisfied with the accommodations. We are concentrating on the areas that are in demand and where we have control over the quality of the accommodations. If you are interested in traveling to Europe, or to an exotic locale, you may contact our in-house travel agency Global Express Travel Services at 800.826.2430. They will be able to book hotel rooms, rental cars, cruises, etc. in these vacation areas. (Cost for hotel rooms and transportation is not included in your TAN program.)

Q.  When do I need a passport?
A.  When traveling within the United States, including Hawaii, you will not need a passport. If you are traveling to Mexico, Canada, and some Caribbean islands, you are required to carry with you your traditional passport book. For travel to some countries, all that may be required is an original copy of your birth certificate (with a raised seal) and a government-issued photo ID. We recommend you obtain a passport well in advance of your vacation to be sure that it arrives in time. If you have questions, please visit travel.state.gov.
