Finding Your Next Vacation

 

We wanted to make it as easy as possible for you to find your next TAN vacation with the new PlanwithTan.com. To help you, we've built 3 different ways for you to view properties and to find available properties:

  • Property List Page
  • Property by Region and Property by Attraction Pages
  • Main Search Application

Here we'll go through each of these different options and hopefully help you get the most out of each of these different ways to find that TAN vacation you're looking for.

 

How to View General Property Information

Property Listing Page

The property listing page is a straightforward listing of TAN properties grouped by region and then by state. (Currently we are in the process of adding the Southeast region to this page, you can still view these properties by going to Properties by Region > Southeast)

You can access this page by clicking "Properties" in the main navigation menu. Once you get to this page, you'll see a large listing of properties. Simply hover over the property you'd like to learn more about and click. You will be taken to that properties general information page.

*Because this page is not real-time, the properties on this page do not reflect all TAN Properties. We work diligently to keep this page as up to date as possible, but sometimes there is a delay in posting new TAN properties to this page.

 

 

Property by Region and Property by Attraction Pages

The property by region and property by attraction pages are dynamic pages that present our properties. They are integrated with a Google Map interface which allows you to pinpoint where the properties are located. This interface allows you to browse properties by two ways:

Browse by List

On each page, the associated properties are listed in groupings by state.When you hover over a property is will be highlighted by a blue box. Click on the property, and that property will be highlighted on the map with a pop up box that displays the property name, property address and a link (in red) to the property information page. In the screenshot on the right, the link is circled in blue.

You can also navigate the map to see what properties we have in a region. Notice the controls on the left hand side of the map. You can zoom in and out on the map, and you can also just "grab" and move the map by clicking and holding on it and moving your mouse.

To select one of the property markers on the map, simply click on it and the pop up box with the address and link to property information page will appear.

How to Search

The ability to search for available properties in real-time is the center of the new PlanwithTan.com. The new search application allows you to search through several different options and features.

On the homepage you will find the orange search box. From this search interface you must select a region, an area, a start date and the type of vacation you're searching for (Normal, Excess Inventory, Hotweeks). You can also narrow your search by selecting a specific resort from the drop down, a unit size and if you click amenities, you can check off specific amenities you are looking for. After you've selected the criteria you're looking for, click submit.

One important note is that the search will return results within 7 days of your desired start date. So if you select the 7th as your start date, it will also return any properties that have a start date of the 14th, etc.

 

Search Results Page

On the search results page you will find a listings of the properties that match your search criteria. Some of the search results will be long, so we've added several features to help you sort through your results:

  • Click on the start date to sort by start date
  • Click on bedroom to sort by unit size
  • Group by property - if you click the group by property button at the top of the search results page, all units from the same property will be grouped together.
  • The compare feature is coming soon!

If there is no property available that matches your exact search criteria, the search engine will return similar properties from within the same region you are looking as recommendations. You can tell this by the message next to each search results returned (circled in blue in the picture on the right.)

From the search results page you can click on the details button next to a property to see the full property description, photos and details. You can also click on the book button to book your vacation! (If you don't see the book button, that is because you haven't logged in yet.)

You can also expand or refine your search directly from the search results page through the search interface.
